Mike Schmidt was injured on Sunday in a freak injury during batting practice. It is not known if he will play tonight vs. Diorio. Schmidt is one of the diddlies hottest hitters right now, and probably the best fielding 3rd basemen in the league.
A corresponding move will be made later today, pending the status of Mike Schmidt.
