The Bonediddlies will take on Naberhaus (nee Muldoons') at 730 PM in the league semi final game. They will play the winner of Armbrust/LeDonne, as Fedyski took a surprise early exit as the 4 seed. His kids have been beaten as a result!
Come out and see the Bonediddlies road to the Dan Novak Memorial Trophy. You will not be disappointed, bring bug spray!

Bonediddlies have comedy of errors; also the last laugh!
The Bonediddlies will be continuing their march towards the cup, I mean, eh, the Dan Novak Memorial Trophy. They had a few laughs a long the way, though! (NEVER END A SENTENCE WITH A PREPOSITION BIG BOY!)
They started out roughly on the defensive side, but as the make up of their team, clutch hitting and defense prevailed vs. Smalley, the team that has a complaint for everything and anything softball.
Also noted that the Bonediddlies website gets frequent visitors, and those who vote negativley in the poll question will be found, bound, gagged, and terminated!
SEE YOU NEXT WEEK @ 730 PM! Opponent for next week is TBD, as of now, they will play either Armbrust, LeDonne, Naberhaus, or O'Malley (doubt it)!

BONEDIDDLIES BREAKING NEWS
The league has sent out a memo to all teams. It looks like the Bonediddlies will be the number 3 seed in the 2010 playoffs, after a 6-4 season.
The opponent they will play on August 2nd is up in the air.
This is due to the fact that there are two make up games on 7-26
Smalley vs. Fedyski
LeDonne vs. O'Malley
The Bonediddlies could end up playing LeDonne, O'Malley, or Smalley. They would like to avenge their first round exit last year.
Even if Fedyski wins, they will have a 6-4 record. The Bonediddlies finished with the same, but beat them head to head.
THE LATEST INFO WILL BE HERE AS IT IS AVALIABLE!

Game Update
The Bonediddlies will close out their regular season tomorrow, with a doubleheader at 8:30 and 9:30 PM. They will be playing Naberhaus and Fedyski, so both games will be tough.
Pat Eversole, the most average player on the planet, is nursing a jammed finger, and will be a game-day decision on whether or not he can play.
The Bonediddlies will finish with either a 5-5, 6-4, or 7-3 record. Since there are 7 teams in the league, the guess is that the playoffs will be next week, with the one seed getting a bye into the second round. The Bonediddlies couldn't be seeded anywhere from 2-7, depending on certain tiebreakers.

5-2!
Bonediddlies fans! Your Bonediddlies have improved to 5-2 with a victory over LeDonne, or LeDon't ever think they had a chance...hahaha!
The final score was 6-4. Timely hitting and solid defense have been the formula for success this year for the 'Diddlies, with an emphasis on the latter.
The Bonediddlies bats are heating up with the temperature! DON'T MISS OUT!

Joe Sengel, a Bonediddly veteran, has been called up for tonights' game. Also returning from a long trip in the minor leagues is Jon Kinsey. Both will be making their 2010 Bonediddlies' season debut vs. LeDonne, or in this case, LeDon't think you're winning tonight vs. the Bonediddlies.

Bonediddlies lose frustrating game
The Bonediddlies lost 6-3, as previously reported. The first inning was their downfall, which they gave up 5 runs.
The defense was shotty in the first inning, but after that, it was solid. The field was in terrible condition. Thanks to the Wheaton Park District for that!
The Bonediddlies have an off week, and will resume play on 6-28. In the meantime, they will need to work on their hitting. The Bonediddlies have had a rough go, especially in clutch situations, coming up with the big hit.

The Bonediddlies improved to 4-1 on the 2010 season by sweeping their double header.
The first game was an 18-6 victory via the mercy rule.
The second game was a 6-2 victory.
Timely hitting, patience, and some great defense helped the Bonediddlies sweep the twin bill.
The Bonediddlies will play at 6:30 PM next week, against Armbrust, who defeated them earlier this year in embarassing fashion, 13-1.

Bonediddlies improve to 2-1
The Bonediddlies improved to 2-1 for the season with a 13-2 win over Smalley. There was a bit of controversy and poor sportsmanship, showed by Smalley, by way of slapping the ball out of the Diddly third basemans' hand while the ball was still in play, and the Bonediddlies took it in stride.
During the play, the baserunner had gone out of his way to run into the Bonediddly shortstop. The umpire decided that obstruction had occured, but then the runner decided to act like a 5 year old and slap the ball out of the 3rd basemans' hand. The Bonediddlies decided to let their bats do the talking!
Bonediddly doubleheader next week, starting at 8:30! Thank you Alli Sambo for the mobile updates! She will be dearly missed when she leaves to scout in South Africa later this summer. The Bonediddlies will look for a pitcher there!

Some Important Game Notes:
- The Diddlies will call up Kyle Kliebhan from Double A to take the hill.
- Nolan Cruz will not be in tonight's starting lineup. He will be added to the PUP list. His roster spot will be filled by last week's supersub Mike Veltri.
- Trent Sharar-Stoppel will be making his season debut at Rover.
- Evan Mielke will be in the lineup again, but it's unclear what position he will play.
- Kevin Jednachowski is doubtful to play because he will be undergoing oral surgery to remove 3 teeth. Most likely, Colin Watson will fill his spot in the lineup.
- Dave Kinsey is expected to be back in the lineup next week.

Bonediddlies Lose More than a Game
After starting off the season with a 13-8 victory over LeDonne, the Bonediddlies were crushed in game 2 of their split doubleheader, 13-1, at the hands of Armbrust. They just were not mentally prepared, as some players did not even show up to the game on time, and everything just went downhill from there.
The offense was too similar to last year's playoff loss: Popups and foulouts. The defense wasn't spectacular either, but in this league, if you want to win, you have to score.
The worst part of the night occurred in the 4th inning, as Bonediddlies pitcher Jake Brady threw a pitch that was lined right back at his face. In defense, he brought up his pitching hand and knocked it down. He had a chance to get the runner, but the other Bonediddlies knew it was serious when he did not pick up the ball.
Preliminary X-rays show a break in the fifth metacarpal bone. It is rumored that Brady will miss at least 6 weeks.
The Bonediddlies will re-evaluate the situation later in the week, but clearly this is the heart and soul of the squad. Phone calls were made to Brady early today, but they were not returned.
As for the options on the roster, newly-acquired LF Bobby Munro came into pitch for the Diddlies last night, and did a good job in the 5th inning. Pat Eversole came on in emergency duty in the 4th and tried to clean up the mess by the Bonediddlies in the earlier inning, and did a formidable job with spotty defense.
Another possible option will be Mike Eversole, currently pitching for the Triple A affiliate. More news on this story will come later in the week.
The Bonediddlies will be out for revenge next Monday as they take on Mullen's, the team that eliminated them from the playoffs last year. Come check them out 8:30 on Monday!

Bonediddlies come out like hot cakes, finish up like molasses.
It was a tale of two games tonight for the Bonediddlies, as they split their DH, winning the first and losing the second.
The 'Diddlies had a fast start in the first game, and never looked back. Great defense, timely hitting, and stellar pitching all helped the Bonediddlies defeat LeDonne 13-8.
The second game was all around horrendous. The weather not only cooled down, so did the Diddly bats, defense, and pitching. The Bonediddlies lost their starting pitcher, Jake Brady, after he took a lined shot off the finger. He will be re-evaluated later this week. The Bonediddlies were not mentally, physically, or emotionally ready for the second game. This was due to a number of different factors, which may have been the split double header, among others.
The Bonediddlies will try to get to 2-1 next week at 8:30 PM. Stay tuned for the latest information right here, on Bonediddlies.blogspot.com!

The "Milky" Way
Breaking News: Evan Mielke will be avaliable Opening Day, May 10th, 2010.
It was assumed "Milky" would be stuck with his European League team, but alas, that is not the case.
Milky will most likely fill in where needed, most likely Rover or a middle infield position.

Two games...Not a DH
It looks like the Bonediddlies will open 5-10 at 6:30 PM.
They will play another game that same day, but at 8:30 PM.
They will have an hour break to re cooperate after their slaugther of the first game!

Update
The Bonediddlies 2010 Schedule will most likely be released Friday, April 30th.
Most likely, the league will open up play on Monday, May 3rd. The Bonediddlies will not play on this day, and will be opening on May 10th, according to league sources. This is due to many of the Bonediddlies players being overseas promoting the upcoming 2010 season.

League Meeting
The Wheaton Park District 16 inch softball Captains' meeting is scheduled for April 20th. Since most Bonediddlies will be into their off season workouts, the league commissioner has excused the Bonediddlies from being there.
Schedule should be available at this time. Since the season will start May 3rd, and most Bonediddlies will be unable to attend, The Bonediddlies could be playing one or two double headers.

Preseason Update
Hello Diddly Nation!
A few announcements regarding the team.
A few announcements regarding the team.
- The Bonediddlies have announced their official 2010 slogan: "Commit to the Diddly." T-shirts and hats will go on sale later this month.
- The team is in a slight financial hole, as they have not found any corporate sponsor for the 2010 season. There is still hope, but most likely they will not land a sponsor.
As for the roster, there will be a few changes on the year.
- Evan Mielke, the team MVP in 2007, and 3-year left fielder, will not be with the team this year. He has decided to pursue opportunities overseas in the European Softball League. He has reportedly signed a 1-year agreement with the Madrid Magic.
- Jon Kinsey, the teams' regular second baseman in 2007 and 2008, along with being a part-time player in 2009, will also not be returning. He has decided to join the Liverpool Landsharks of the United Softball League, based out of London.
- Colin Watson, a common Bonediddly callup, has signed a minor league contract with the Bonediddlies. His spot is not guaranteed. The OF/Rover has appeared in 5 games with the Diddlies, and is well-known for his defense.
- The Diddlies also agreed to terms on a minor league deal with Mike Eversole. He will mostly be used for pitching insurance, but can also catch. To begin the season, he will report to Triple A Kalamazoo.
- As for the last roster spot, the organization is in contract negotiations with free agent outfielder Bobby Munro. Munro, an all-star in the Pacific Coast Softball league, has considered making the jump to the Wheaton Park District. Known for his defensive prowess and lefty stick, he could be a welcome addition to the lineup. If signed, it's most likely he would end up in left field.
As for the rest of the roster, a good amount of it remains the same. Mike Schmidt and Ben Robillard, the two corner infielders, have already been seen begins private workouts in Sarasota, Florida. Joe Eversole (IF), Pat Eversole (Util), David Kinsey (Util), Kevin Jednachowski (OF), Trent Sharar-Stoppel (R), Jake Brady(P) and Nolan Cruz (OF) are expected to round out the lineup.
The first game is scheduled, tenatively, for Monday, May 10th.
